CYBERSECURITY IN THE ENERGY SECTOR AT THE ENERGY SUMMIT 2023
At the panel on cyber security in the BiH energy sector, USAID EPA presented its activities through the preparation of a series of documents and the implementation of activities aimed at improving the state of cyber security in the energy sector.
The documents on which the USAID EPA project is working include a road map for the transposition of the NIS directive into the BiH legislation, a report on a cyber-attack on the information system of the Sarajevogas company, and a questionnaire related to the information security in the energy sector.
In addition to the aforementioned documents, the USAID EPA team is also working on addressing the cyber security in the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), actively working on drafting the law on critical infrastructure, and the law on information security in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For the first time, the Energy Summit addressed the topic of cyber security in the energy sector and set it as an area that should be one of the important priorities in the further development of the energy sector.
